So get this.
Last night it snowed. *puke!* Can you believe it? Mid-October and it is already snowing! This in and of itself does not bother me too much. For the most part I stay inside, venturing out only on rare occasions for bits of yarn and other random craft necessities. Today however, the ignition switch for the electric pilot on our furnace went out, so now there is no heat in the house! Aaaagh! I can’t handle the cold; I’m not built for it! Got two sweatshirts layered on, with two pairs of sweatpants, slippy socks, hat, scarf, and mittens (homemade by moi on the last four!), but I’m still shivering!
Oh, and another thing! One of our pipes sprang a huge leak, so now we’ve got all the water shut off until a plumber can make it out on Monday to fix it! No modern amenities!?! Am I living in the dark ages? I think I just may be!
Oh, and one more thing! I’m babysitting a 10 week old puppy for the weekend. A freaking puppy! Me!?!? WTF am I doing this, I don’t even know… I have not the first clue how to care for a baby dog. I mean, it seems to require constant attention in order to prevent it from destroying my house! Also, FREQUENT bathroom breaks so it doesn’t resort to crapping in my memory foam slippers out of spite :( I am SO not a dog person…
Anyway, I also had little run-in with a crazy bitch today, but we’ll save her for another blog (she is a frequent contributor to my daily drama)! The bottom line is, today has been a bit stressful. But here I am, staying true to my commitment and that is a good thing. And hey! I feel a little better already! (but I AM still really cold!)
